Many people love music, few take the raw inspiration and make something of it. One artist took his inspiration and made something special out of it.
Inspired by artists like PJ Harvey, Nirvana and others, Nino started writing his own songs. In August 2005, he visited a studio in order to record a few tracks he had composed. The engineers at the studio loved the songs, encouraging Nino to continue writing and produce more material.
In 2006, Nino released his first Melanculia demo of three tracks in order to share the newly crafted music with his friends. In May 2007, he released a full-length album on the Jamendo label called Indieca. The album had been a success— Oporto Song earned #1 on the "free music charts" of Darkerradio during that year.
Since 2009, Melanculia has been graced by the presence of Din-Tah aeon as a fixed member of the band, who is responsible for the mixing and mastering, as well as additional guitar and bass tracks.
